Darvon Compound 65 lidded container. Size is approximately 5 1/4 inches tall including lid and 3 inches in diameter.  It would have contained a powder which the doctor or druggist (in those days) would put a measured amount in a folded paper to add to liquid.  Tablets came later by compressing the compounds. An unusual item for a doctor or pharmacist who collects items of the past.  It was made with a two part mold and you can see the mold mark in the heavy cream color glass. It has the number “7” on the base.
